Brian Clement

Project Manager

Brian Clement provides a strong foundation of energy engineering and Demand Side Management (DSM) expertise that enables Good Company Associates to quickly develop and deploy programmatic solutions supporting client subject area initiatives. Clement has over twenty-four years of comprehensive energy services experience in the design and delivery of successful energy savings programs and projects for end use customers, Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) and utilities.   

Clement was Director of Engineering at RealWinWin, a company that provided rebate administration services for national retail businesses.  He was responsible for “mapping” business prototype design and construction processes to incentive program qualifications and requirements, to facilitate securing incentives.  He gained expertise and understanding the value of Retro-Commissioning (RCx).  As President of Custom Engineer Solutions (CES), Clement provided energy efficiency consulting to clients to help them achieve their energy services program objectives, including technical and construction management services with a design emphasis on efficiency.  CES developed and presented utility customer service and vendor energy services training programs.   

For eight years with EUA Cogenex (NY) as Senior Project Manager, Clement was responsible for the technical analysis and deliverables required to support an Energy Service Company (ESCO) operation fulfilling multiple utility DSM bid contracts for hospitality, hospital, institutional, office, industrial, and warehousing facilities.  He managed engineering resources and documentation to support installation of over 100 DSM projects; totaling ~ $ 25.2 MM and 20 MW in demand savings.  His responsibilities included project development, proforma analysis of multi-year performance based energy savings programs, construction management and project measurement & verification (M&V).  Working for EUA Highland (CO) as Technical Sales and Construction Manager, his responsibilities included project design, installation and utility M&V requirements.  

At the Conservation Department for the City of Austin, Clement was involved in the early development of the award winning incentive programs now administered by Austin Energy. 

Clement received a B.S. in Architectural Engineering, Environmental Systems Block, from the University of Texas-Austin in 1982.
