Program Design and Implementation
Our involvement in energy efficiency policy advocacy today includes management and representation of Efficiency Texas, a statewide coalition of building owners, operators, consumer and environmental groups with the single, focused purpose of expanding the availability of and funding for the cost-effective energy efficiency programs administered by Texas’s electric utilities. Texas efficiency legislation, administrative rules and utility programs, have evolved since adoption of restructuring legislation in 1999.
We have, or are currently working to develop new energy efficiency programs for utilities including air-conditioner tune-up, Energy STAR Homes, appliance retirement and recycling, geothermal heat-pumps, and tree planting. We have designed programs for the integration of advanced meters and customer controls and displays.
